Minister of Human Rights Mashdal Mohammed commended the position of the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and its affirmation of solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He expressed his pride in the positions of both countries in supporting the Yemeni people in restoring their state and its institutions.
In a post on X, the Minister affirmed that Egypt’s courageous stance embodies a shared Arab responsibility to confront threats facing the peoples of the region and to protect the human right to life, security, and living in peace.
He stressed that protecting peoples and safeguarding their dignity require a firm stance to deter attacks and pave the way for peace that preserves rights and puts an end to suffering.
The Minister noted that Yemenis, who have long suffered from the crimes committed by the terrorist Houthi militias, understand what it means to have civilian lives threatened and their cities and livelihoods targeted, as well as the importance of Arab positions of solidarity in confronting these threats and protecting the security and stability of peoples.
